0208, 0209, 0210) and certain products of plant origin, including fruit
and vegetables.

Commission Regulation (EU) replacing Annex I to Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 of the European Parliament and the Council" (Text with EEA relevance)

The act replaces Annex I of Regulation 396/2005, which is the list of the products to which the MRLs apply. Annex I was last amended in 2014 and several amendments are necessary to improve its overall clarity. The general scope and structure of Annex I remain unchanged. Main amendments introduced are:

•  names and definitions of some groups of products are clarified;

•  the wording of the footnote (1) has been reviewed in order to increase clarity, but the scope and application are unchanged;

•  the expired footnotes are deleted;

•  the spelling and the position of some products are corrected;

•  the column "part of the products to which the MRLs apply" is better defined for some groups of products;

•  around 25 new species or varieties available on the market have been introduced in Part B of Annex I.
