Regulation of the Minister for Entrepreneurship and Technology of [date] [month] [year] on the technical conditions of technical inspection for the operation, repair and modernisation of handling equipment

The main objective of the draft regulation is to standardise and adapt the technical conditions of technical inspection for the operation of handling equipment to the requirements stemming from the currently binding EU rules relating to placing handling equipment on the market and putting it into service. These rules relate to the free movement of goods, which establish that Member States do not prohibit, restrict or hinder the placing on the market or putting into service of machines in compliance with directives on their territories (in this case – the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and the Lifts Directive 2014/33/EU).

The draft regulation also removes barriers in the form of manufacturing requirements for hoist manufacturers and manufacturers of round-belt chair and gondola lifts used for recreation and entertainment purposes.
