CG303 provides those involved in specifying, designing and supervising works involving the corrosion protection of structural steelwork in highway structures with guidance on the operation of the quality assurance scheme for paints and similar protective coatings used in the corrosion protection of steelwork in highway structures.

The Manual of Paints for Structural Steelwork that is included in CG303 provides those involved in the manufacture, certification and quality testing of paint materials with paint material requirements for the paints and similar materials that are to be used for the corrosion protection of steelwork in highway structures.
