In the draft decree, reference is made to technical standards as follows:

Article 3, § 3: ‘Refrigeration installations must comply with standard NBN EN 378 applicable when they are installed or any other equivalent standard or equivalent code of best practice.’.

The following is stated under heading 132B of the classified installations:

‘Refrigeration installation:

b.1) containing 3 kg or more of a refrigerant in one of the following safety groups: A2L, A2, B2L, B2, A3 or B3, as defined in Annex E to standard NBN EN 378-1:2016;

The aim of the draft order is to consolidate the operating conditions that refrigeration installation operators must adhere to, with a view to improving the transparency and predictability of said operating conditions against the background of administrative streamlining.
