Automated information systems.

Documents on the registration objects concerning licences issued under the Mining Act, especially the licenses themselves, must be provided in order for soil data to be entered in a key soil register.

Order amending the Order on the Key Soil Register in connection with determining the catalogue regarding the registration object concerning licences issued under the Mining Act

The Order on the Key Soil Register [Regeling basisregistratie] contains rules for implementing the Act on the Key Soil Register [Wet basisregistratie ondergrond]. This act provides for the creation of a key soil register, consisting of a digital map with detailed information about soil in the Netherlands. On the basis of this act, source data owners designated therein are required to submit certain soil data (of certain registration objects) for inclusion in the key register. The first phase relates specifically to the following registration objects: Geotechnical probe surveys, Soil surveys (specifically, pedological descriptions of core samples), Groundwater monitoring wells and Licences issued under the Mining Act. Since notification, the first three have already entered into force.

This order designates the data catalogue for the registration object concerning licences issued under the Mining Act, which describes how to provide the information. The draft order, in conjunction with its annexes, stipulates rules on setting up the key soil register for the registration object. These are potential technical regulations and have already been notified. The Order on the Key Soil Register contains a mutual recognition clause.
