ELOT TS 1501-03-06-02-01 Thermal insulation of roofs

The subject of the ELOT TS 1501-03-06-02-01 specification is the thermal insulation of roofs using industrially manufactured heat insulating products for buildings. It refers to roofs with inclination < 5 % and roofs with inclination >5 %, made of reinforced concrete load-bearing elements, which follow the usual construction methods.

The specification also sets out the application methods for the heat insulating products, depending on the level where they are applied, always in conjunction with the necessary coatings that must precede or follow the insulating coat, so as to ensure the thermal comfort of the spaces under the roof.

Heat insulating products produced onsite do not fall within the scope of this specification.

In order to apply this specification, an application design study must be conducted by a qualified engineer.
