Decree on the end-of-waste status of parts resulting from the dismantling of end-of-life vehicles which have been prepared for re-use

This draft decree provides for a simplified procedure for determining end-of-waste status, compared with the procedure described in Articles D541-12-4 to D541-12-14 of the Environmental Code, for parts resulting from the dismantling of end-of-life vehicles which have been prepared for re-use. This must be carried out in a treatment facility for end-of-life vehicles holding the permit provided for in Article R543-162 of the Environmental Code. This decree enables the criteria for end-of-waste status for this sector to be adapted given that the decontamination and dismantling activities carried out by end-of-life vehicle treatment facilities are already covered by an approval scheme.
