The statute is repealed and replaced by reprinting six new ones, one for each species.

This notification concerns the reprint of the regulations for sheep (SJVFS 2017:XX), to which certain editorial amendments, as well as a substantive one, are made. This substantive amendment relates to the regulation concerning freedom of movement (Chapter 2, § 10). Apart from this, no substantial amendments are made to the statute for sheep.

Swedish Board of Agriculture regulations and general advice (SJVFS 2017:XX) on sheep farming within agriculture, etc.

Chapter 2, § 10. The paragraph on freedom of movement concerning the tying together of body parts, etc. is amended so that it applies irrespective of where the animal is kept and not only during grazing, as is currently the case. However, tying body parts together is permitted for treatment purposes if this is necessary to prevent injury and suffering.
