Monitoring poisonous gases in the mining industry

Draft Order adopting additional technical instruction 04.7.06 ‘Monitoring poisonous gases in the atmosphere during underground activities’ and amending additional technical instruction ITC 05.0.02 ‘Specifications for underground coal mines and works involving explosion hazard. Concentration limits for methane in air flows’ of the General Regulation of Mining Basic Safety

The purpose of this additional technical instruction [ITC] is to set environmental limit values for underground activities to protect workers from health risks due to exposure to the following poisonous gases: CO, CO2, NO, NO2, SH2 and SO2. Similarly, it sets out the associated minimum preventive measures.
