The Water Resource Agency is making a preannouncement on the designation of toilets and washing machines as water equipment, sanitary ware or other equipment mentioned in Paragraph 3, Article 95-1 of the Water Supply Act that require Water Efficiency Labelling. The scheduled implementation date is 1 July 2017. Violators shall be fined NT$ 40,000 to NT$ 200,000 according to Article 98-1 of the Water Supply Act and ordered to take corrective actions within a specified time limit. Penalties may be consecutively imposed on those who fail to take corrective actions within the time limit.
