The Thai Industrial Standards Institute has withdrawn the Notification of the Thai Industrial Standards Institute Regarding the Rules and Conditions on Conformity Assessment for Licensing and Surveillance dated 8 July B.E. 2559 (2016) and replaced with the Notification of the Thai Industrial Standards Institute Regarding the Rules and Procedures on Conformity Assessment for Licensing and Surveillance, Amendment No.1, B.E. 2560 (2017) .

This revision is intended to make the licensing process correct, clear, expeditious, transparent, fair, and in line with international practices. The notification covers rules and conditions for conformity assessment for licensing, classifying licensing procedures into 2 types, with relevant approval process and surveillance scheme.
