The requirements of the existing standard, SI 6558 part 1, shall be declared mandatory. This standard deals with the safety requirements and health aspects of jewelery intended to be worn by children up to 12 years old. It adopts the requirements and the test methods detailed in the American Standard ASTM F2923 - 14, with a few changes that appears in the standard's Hebrew section. This declaration is in line with the mandatory standardization objective to protect human health and safety.
