It concerns the adjustment of two of the spirit drink categories of Annex II to Regulation (EC) No 110/2008, i.e. category 9 "fruit spirit" and category 10 "cider spirit and perry spirit" to adapt them respectively to the traditional denomination and production methods actually used in EU Member States. Regardless of the title, please note that this draft Commission Regulation does not contain provisions on intellectual property right issues, in particular related to geographical indications. Only the provisions related to technical standards, definitions and labelling would be relevant for the purpose of the TBT Agreement.
