Ministerial Decree No. 1307/2017 (2 pages, in Arabic) mandating the Egyptian Standard ES 8131/2017 "practice analysis to evaluation of precious metals, jewellery and precious metal maker, expert of evaluation of precious metals and stones" (13 pages, in Arabic).

The Ministerial Decree No.1307/2017 gives the producers and importers a six-month transitional period to abide by the Egyptian Standard ES 8131/2017 which specifies the requirements that must be met in the person conducting the analysis of precious metals to determine their calibre, or in the jewellery industry of precious metals or valuables for precious metals and precious stones, as well as procedures for obtaining a license to practice each profession according to its specialization.
