ICS: 97.140 (Furniture)

Ministerial Decree No.1307/2017( 2 pages, in Arabic), mandating the Egyptian Standard ES 4229-2/2017 "Furniture- Chairs and tables for educational institutions part:2 Safety requirements and test methods" (28 pages, in Arabic).

·         The Ministerial Decree 1307/2017 gives the producers and importers a six-month transitional period to abide by the Egyptian Standard ES 4229-2/2017 which is concerned with the essential Safety requirements and test methods for chairs and tables intended for public use in educational establishments. 

Worth mentioning is that this standard is technically identical with EN 1729-2:2012
