The notified Standard establishes the requirements and test methods for polypropylene pipes intended for use in hot and cold water installations and heating installations, at design pressures and temperatures appropriate to the class of application (See Table 1). This Standard also applies to the conveyance of water that may or may not be intended for human consumption, under the design and temperature conditions specified therein. It applies to pipes manufactured from polypropylene in the form of polypropylene homopolymer (PP-H), polypropylene block copolymer (PP-B), polypropylene random copolymer (PP-R) or polypropylene random crystalline temperature (PP-RCT), and to polypropylene pipes with an intermediate layer containing fibreglass (three-layer pipes).
