Act of ………… amending the Carinthian Youth Protection Act

The draft act stipulates that children and adolescents under the age of 18 shall be prohibited from purchasing, possessing, consuming and passing on tobacco products and tobacco-related products. The following are specifically covered by the ban: tobacco products, shisha pipes, shisha pens, electronic cigarettes and associated necessary substances used as tobacco substitutes or additives for burning or evaporation.

The draft act also stipulates that children and adolescents under the age of 18 shall be prohibited from purchasing, possessing and consuming beverages containing distilled alcohol, and where the alcohol content exceeds 0.5 % by volume.
