The specification relates to the construction of layers in road pavements with unbound aggregates (the use of recycled concrete products is also permitted) which are used as the base and sub-base for the pavement for roads, parking lots, airport runways, etc.

The rules on construction of sub-bases and bases with unbound aggregates also apply to levelling layers when they are made of the materials described in the specification.
