This decree concerns the design and construction of the moisture performance of new buildings. The decree also applies to building extensions, increases of calculated floor area, repairs and renovations as well as changes in the intended use and occupancy of the building.

Ministry of the Environment Decree on the moisture performance of buildings

Pursuant to § 117(c) of the Land Use and Building Act (132/1999), detailed rules concerning the construction of new buildings, their repair, maintenance and renovations as well as a change in intended use may be issued by a Ministry of the Environment decree regarding required health related physical, chemical and microbiological conditions, building technical systems and equipment as well as construction products.
