The draft Regulation on the register of persons engaged in the import, introduction to the country, production, sale, provision or supply of distillation plants for production of ethyl alcohol, distillates and spirits, as well as the method for keeping documentation and accounts. This will create conditions for greater traceability and control in this sector.

Draft Regulation on the register of persons engaged in activities with distillation plants

The draft Regulation establishes a register of the persons who are engaged in import, introduction to the country, production, sale, provision or supply of distillation plants for the production of ethyl alcohol of agricultural origin, distillates and spirits. The register shall be public. It shall be kept by the Ministry of Economy. The Regulation lays down the conditions and the procedure for the registration of persons who have been issued a certificate for an indefinite time by the Minister for Economy or an official authorised by him/her. The correspondence on entry in the register, denial of entry, change of circumstances and deletion from the register may be carried electronically. The persons entered in the register shall keep records which allow for the recognition of the person who has been given the distillation plant for the production of ethyl alcohol, distillates and spirits. By the 14th day of the month following the month in which arrangements have been made for the distillation plant, the registered persons shall provide the Ministry of Economy electronically and/or in hard copy with information on the persons who have been given the distillation plant. Upon request or on its own initiative, the Ministry of Economy shall provide this information to the National Customs Agency.
