The aim of the proposed code is to provide all parties involved with
guidelines regarding compliance with good advertising practices when it
comes to betting.

Code of Practice for the advertising of betting

It lays down certain general principles which should govern betting advertisements, with particular emphasis on protecting minors and protecting intellectual property rights in cases of online advertising on websites which provide unauthorised access to specific content.

It also lays down specific restrictions on broadcasting betting advertisements and direct marketing measures relating to betting.

The code also refers to the obligation of licensees to include a message to encourage responsible gaming and prevent addiction in their advertising plans.
