Gambling machines and gambling tables

Draft Law of the Republic of Lithuania No XIIIP-714 amending Articles 2, 10, 15, 16 and 29 of Law No IX-325 on gambling and inserting Articles 151 and 161 thereto

The draft law proposes imposing an obligation on gambling operators to connect, between 1 November 2018 and 1 November 2021, all gambling machines by cable, radio, fibre-optic or other electromagnetic means to an electronic gambling machine data management system intended for the processing of and transmission to the gambling machine control information system LAKIS, operated by the Gaming Control Authority under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Lithuania (hereinafter, ‘Control Authority’), of machine identity data (machine series and number), operational data (details on the software version of the machine, machine switch on and switch off time logs, and time logs for machine door opening and closing at the gambling site) and digital counter data (details on credit or monetary units bet credit or monetary units won; credit or monetary units paid to the casino or gambling machine arcade cashier, where the machine has this function; credit or monetary units won with Category A machine jackpots, where the machine has this function; and number of games played). Furthermore, the draft law proposes imposing an obligation on gambling operators to film the inventorying of sums and tokens bet at gambling tables and to periodically submit reports on such inventorying to the Control Authority.
