General curriculum textbooks

Draft Order of the Minister for Health of the Republic of Lithuania amending Order No V-345 of the Minister for Health of the Republic of Lithuania of 11 June 2003 approving Lithuanian Hygiene Norm HN 22:2003 ‘School Textbooks’

The draft order sets out in a new version the Lithuanian Hygiene Norm HN 22:2017 ‘General curriculum textbooks. Health and safety requirements’ (hereinafter ‘Hygiene Norm’), which lays down the health and safety requirements for general curriculum textbooks placed on the market, i.e. for multiple-use teaching tools intended for pupils with a methodological framework, which are dedicated to a specific educational stage or year, educational area, or integrated course, subject or module (hereinafter, ‘textbook’).

The Hygiene Norm establishes requirements for the grammage of paper used for textbook printing, the size of the font in which textbooks are printed, and the format (width and height) and weight of textbooks.
