Procedure at the site where the waste is generated

The draft regulation lays down the detailed procedure for handling medical waste (hazardous waste, infectious waste and non-hazardous waste) at the site where it is generated, including:

1) handling medical waste generated when providing health care on site;

2) placing medical waste in containers or sacks at the site where such waste is generated and the preliminary storage of medical waste at sites which provide health care or conduct medical testing and research;

3) the conditions for the internal transport of medical care waste at sites which provide health care or conduct medical testing and research.
