The Act on amendments to the Act on radiological and nuclear safety

This Act establishes measures for radiological and nuclear safety, measures for nuclear security, recording and supervision of nuclear material and other measures for the non-proliferation of nuclear weapons in performing nuclear operations and operations involving sources of ionising radiation and operations of management of radioactive waste and used sources, for the purpose of ensuring adequate protection of individuals, society and the environment, in the present and in the future, against the harmful effects of ionising radiation, and ensuring safe and physically secured performance of operations involving ionising radiation sources, nuclear operations, radioactive waste management and nuclear security of ionising radiation sources and nuclear installations. The Act shall apply to any civil nuclear installation for which the approval is issued.
