Act amending the Precious Metal Articles Act

Some minor amendments to the act are necessary, i.e. in the part which refers to the amount of the fine for offences and the imposition of fines under the expedited procedure. Given the fact that data on suppliers of precious metal articles is collected, the provisions in the act regarding the record-keeping of suppliers of precious metal articles need to be harmonised with those regarding personal data protection legislation. Furthermore, the practice has shown that deregulation for foreign coins that are legal tender abroad or were issued for numismatic purposes is necessary.
