This Ordinance introduces amendments and additions to the Ordinance on
the placing on the market of fertilisers, soil improvers, growing media
and plant biostimulants [Düngemittelverordnung – DüMV] of 5 December
2012, as amended by the Ordinance of 27 May 2015 (Federal Law Gazette I,
p. 886). The amendments lay down new requirements for the use of
polymers within the scope of the Fertiliser Act. In addition to new
regulations for the use of traditional synthetic polymers, alternative
polymers based on starch or chitin are to be permitted.
