The Ministry of Transportation and Communications intends to revise Vehicle Safety Testing Directions by adding the following 14 items to the current Directions to ensure safety of vehicles. Most of the requirements are harmonized with UNECE Regulations.

1.  quiet road transport system,

2.  compressed hydrogen storage system for hydrogen fuelled vehicles,

3.  LED,

4.  rear marking plates for heavy and long vehicles,

5.  location and identification of hand controls, tell-tales and indicators,

6.  speed limitation devices,

7.  land departure warning system,

8.  external projections,

9.  dynamic braking,

10.  daytime running lamp,

11.  forward external projections,

12.  advanced emergency braking system,

13.  anti-lock braking system, and

14.  driving vision assistant system.
