To reduce the difficulties in identifying printers or photo-copying machines in terms of multifunction printing equipment, the Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection (BSMI) proposes to revise the current conformity assessment procedures of photo-copying machines (i.e., Module II+IV or II+V, or II+VII under RPC scheme) to be in line with printers (i.e., Module II+III under RPC scheme), also, to combine printers and photo-copying machines into one inspection item printing or copying machines.

In addition, for purpose of clarity and ensuring safety of related multifunction printing equipment, printing or copying machines with facsimile or scanning function, and for printing labels, barcodes, receipts, numbers, photographs, and bankbooks, will be included in this proposal.
