The current Environmental Protection and Management (Vehicular Emissions) Regulations shall be amended and gazetted in accordance with details of the notification. Amendments are likely to be made to Part II and the Third Schedule of the Environmental Protection and Management (Vehicular Emissions) Regulations. NEA is proposing to tighten emissions for new two and three wheeled motorcycles to the Euro IV emission standards as listed in Regulation (EU) No 168/2013. In particular, the following emission standards will be legislated through their inclusion in the Environmental Protection and Management (Vehicular Emissions) Regulations:

The date of implementation of the new Euro IV emission standards are as follows:

1 Jan 2018 for all three wheeled motorcycles, and large two-wheeled motorcycles (>200cc)

1 Jan 2020 for all small two-wheeled motorcycles (<=200cc)
