Ministerial Decision No 92143 dated 7 December 2016 (08/03/1438 AH) entitled "Temporary Ban of Importation of Livestock" originated from Somalia.

Depending on positive samples in consignments coming from Somalia indicating presence of Rift Valley Fever and Foot and Mouth Disease viruses, it is deemed necessary for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to prevent the entry of these diseases into the country. Therefore, the importation of livestock from Somalia to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is temporarily suspended.
