DA Memorandum Order (MO) No. 29, Temporary Ban on the Importation of Domestic and Wild Birds and their Products including Poultry Meat, Day Old Chicks, Eggs and Semen originating from Flevoland, the Netherlands.
Based on the official reports submitted by Dr Christianne Bruschke, Chief Veterinary Officer of Ministry of Economic Affairs, The Hague, Netherlands to the World Health Organization for Animal Health (OIE) on 28 November 2016, that there were outbreaks of H5N8 Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) virus in Biiddinghuizen, Flevoalnd, the Netherlands affecting fattening ducks as confirmed by Wageningen Bioveterinary Research, Lelystad (national Laboratory) .
