The notified draft Mexican Official Standard applies to natural and legal persons established in the United Mexican States who provide maintenance services for lifts (hydraulic and traction lifts or those using any other technology) for all types of passengers and freight (goods lifts, vehicle lifts, dumb waiters), and permanently installed escalators and moving ramps and walkways of domestic or foreign manufacture and marketed in the United Mexican States. It does not apply to maintenance services for radial, paternoster, rack and pinion, screw-drive, mining and theatre lifts, appliances with automatic interlocking, bucket lifts, material hoists for civil engineering or building works, floating platforms for offshore exploitation or drilling, or lifts used for assembly.
