The notified amendment to the Emergency Standard concerns the importation, marketing and distribution of signal-blocking equipment of any description that is to be installed within the confines of federal and state social rehabilitation centres, prisons and youth detention facilities, the technical specifications of which are set out in Technical Provision IFT-010-2016: "Specifications and requirements for jamming equipment used to block mobile phone signals, radio communications and the transmission of images and other data within the confines of federal and state social rehabilitation centres, prisons and youth detention facilities", published in the Official Journal on 1 August 2016 through a Decision issued by the Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFT) .
