School scissors (tariff heading 8213.00)

The notified draft Mexican Official Standard containing the
requirements to be met by school scissors was drafted in order to ensure the safety and
reliability of scissors used by children and adolescents of pre-school and school age. It also
seeks to ensure that the commercial information displayed on the product and its
packaging is clear and legible so as to guide consumers when making their purchasing
decisions.
