Proposed Amendments to the Standards and Specifications for Health Functional Foods (9 page(s), in Korean)

The proposed amendment seeks to:

-           Exempt products with insufficient information panel space from the font size requirement of at least 10pt type. The size of the information panel shall be not less than the area of the principal display panel, not including the minimum margin space. In this case, only the labels which are stipulated in Article 4 (including other legislations) shall be indicated on the information panel. -           Allow gluten-free labels on health functional food for consumers intolerant to gluten and the gluten-free labeling complies with the "Food Labeling Standards".
