Proposed Amendments for "Regulation on the Accreditation of Functional Ingredients and Standards/Specifications for Health/Functional Foods" (64 pages, available in Korean)
The proposed amendments seek to:
• Revise definition of materials for functional ingredients to define compounds, extracts, refined products, etc.
• Introduce an accelerated evaluation system for a functional ingredient composed of one-component, and tested by the MFDS authorized method
• Withdraw accreditation certificate of functional ingredients when accreditation is revoked
• Revoke functional ingredient grading
