Fire protection construction products (fixed fire protection systems, or parts of these systems), which are not covered by harmonized European standard or European technical assessment

Government Decree amending Government Decree No 275/2013 of 16 July 2013 on the detailed rules of designing and incorporating construction products into buildings and on their declaration of performance (6 pages, in Hungarian)

The Regulation (EU) no 305/2011/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council (further EU Regulation) laying down harmonized conditions for the marketing of construction products and on repealing Council Directive 89/106/EEC must be fully applied from the 1st of July 2013. Relating to the EU Regulation, several Hungarian laws must have been amended in accordance with it. There are several construction products, which are not covered by harmonized European standard or European technical assessment, so EU member states have the possibility to have national regulations for these construction products. Some of these construction products, before the EU Regulation entered into force, had been considered as fire-technical products, and the Hungarian marketing of them was permitted by the National Directorate General for Disaster Management (NDGDM) .

The modification of the Government Decree authorizes the NDGDM to give general installation (marketing) permission for fixed fire protection systems, or parts of these systems, which are not covered by harmonized European standard or European technical assessment. The goal of the modification is to make the Hungarian licensing of the above mentioned products faster and cheaper.

The modification also includes regulations for unique products and products intended to be used in historical buildings.
