These proposed amendments to the Children's Jewellery Regulations would replace the current 600 mg/kg total lead limit and 90 mg/kg migratable lead limit for all accessible parts of children's jewellery with just a 90 mg/kg total lead limit and would add a 130 mg/kg total cadmium limit for children's jewellery items that are small enough to be totally enclosed within the small parts cylinder.
