Lifting of the temporary ban on the importation of domestic and wild birds and their products including poultry meat, day-old chicks, eggs from Vorarlberg, Austria to the UAE

United Arab Emirates is lifting the ban on the importation of domestic and wild birds and their products including poultry meat, day-old chicks and eggs originating from Vorarlberg, Austria. This follows the publishing of the Final report (Follow-up report No. 2) of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza in Austria on 6 April 2017. In compliance with Article 10.4.4, Chapter 10.4 of the OIE Terrestrial Animal Health Code, Austria is now free from Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza disease. The risk of contamination from importing poultry and poultry products from Vorarlberg, Austria is negligible now.
