The Ordinance of the Swiss Federal Office of Communications on telecommunications installations (OOIT) specifies the basic technical requirements with regard to telecommunications installations set out by the Swiss Federal Council. It regulates the use of radio interfaces in Switzerland.

Radio Interface Regulations will be changed for the following reasons: harmonized standards according to Article 3.2 of the RE-Directive have been updated due to the transition from R&TTED to RED. Harmonized standards according to Article 3.1.b of the RED have been moved from section 13 to section 15 of the RIR according the guide “Notification of radio interface specifications and radio equipment classes. Notification template and guidance DECEMBER 2017 Endorsed by TCAM and RSC”. The wording in general has also been adjusted.

The technical and administrative regulations (PTA5.1) which apply to installations and use of power line networks have been reviewed to take in account the latest development of power line technology. These regulations do not impose any requirements on the products but on the network operators.
