Instruments for measuring the speed of vehicles in traffic

Draft Regulation of the Minister of Entrepreneurship and Technology amending the Regulation on the requirements to be met by instruments for measuring the speed of vehicles in traffic, and the detailed scope of tests and checks to be carried out during the legal metrological inspection of those measuring instruments

The draft regulation adapts the regulation which is being amended to the Regulation of the Minister of Development and Finance of 13 April 2017 on the types of measurement instruments subject to legal metrological inspection and the scope of such inspections.

The draft introduces new requirements regarding the obligation to record the measurements taken and equip instruments with a real-time clock. Recording the measurements taken will make it possible to demonstrate unequivocally that a vehicle was driven by a certain person at the speed indicated by the instrument.
