Draft Decree on the national recognition of quality schemes for agricultural products and foodstuffs and voluntary agricultural product certification schemes

Pursuant to Article 16 of Regulation (EU) No 1305/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 December 2013 on support for rural development by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) and repealing Council Regulation (EC) No 1698/2005 (hereinafter referred to as ‘Regulation (EU) No 1305/2013’), farmers and groups of farmers may be granted support if they participate in any of the Union quality schemes listed in Regulation (EU) No 1305/2013, national quality schemes adopted pursuant to this decree and nationally recognised voluntary agricultural product certification schemes.

The draft shall regulate

• the conditions for submitting an application for recognition,

• the process of the recognition of quality schemes and voluntary agricultural product certification schemes, and

• the procedure for revision of national quality schemes.
