Order No WJZ/17054192 of the Minister for Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality amending the Order on the prevention, control and monitoring of infectious animal diseases, zoonoses and TSEs in connection with an amendment of the provisions on the assembly of sheep and goats

Assembly centres play a critical role in the trade in sheep and goats, but may also be a source for the spread of infectious animal diseases. In light of this, the Order on prevention, control and monitoring of infectious animal diseases, zoonoses and TSEs sets out provisions on the assembly of sheep and goats for intra-Community trade (transposing Directive 91/68/EEC) and, in addition to this, on domestic trade. This includes provisions to protect animal health and prevent the spread of infectious animal diseases.

The draft order amends provisions on sheep and goat assembly at and removal from recognised assembly centres. The provisions set out in this order with regard to assembly at and removal from recognised assembly centres for domestic trade in sheep and goats may contain technical regulations.
