Draft Gambling Ordinance

• On 19 December 2017, the National Board of Trade of Sweden notified,
on behalf of the government, the draft Gambling Act (Notification No
2017/590/S).

• The proposed Gambling Ordinance contains regulations
supplementing those in the Act. The structure of the Gambling Ordinance
reflects that of the Gambling Act. The Gambling Ordinance mainly
contains implementing rules for the gambling authority and
clarifications of regulations in the Act.

• The ordinance contains, inter alia, detailed provisions regarding
the licensing procedure, responsible gambling, the processing of
personal data, supervision and fees.
