This draft Royal Decree relates to approval fees for food chain operators and the costs for approved laboratories and official laboratories that analyse products coming under the responsibility of the Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain, i.e. products relating to the entire food chain.

Royal Decree amending the Royal Decree of 10 November 2005 on the payments referred to in Article 5 of the Law of 9 December 2004 on the financing of the Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain

This draft Royal Decree relates to approval fees for food chain operators and the costs for approved laboratories and official laboratories referred to in Regulation (EC) No 882/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 29 April 2004 on official controls performed to ensure the verification of compliance with feed and food law, animal health and animal welfare rules and in Regulation (EU) 2017/625 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 15 March 2017 on official controls and other official activities performed to ensure the application of food and feed law, rules on animal health and welfare, plant health and plant protection products.

The main amendments in this draft Royal Decree concern:

- the option to invoice auditing costs for approved laboratories and official laboratories,

- extending the option to invoice the costs of participating in training courses, monitoring programmes and assessments to official laboratories.
