Technical requirements for cars and their trailers

The regulation, issued pursuant to the Vehicles Act, lays down more detailed technical regulations on the construction and equipment of cars and their trailers. It also issues more detailed provisions on demonstrating the compliance of cars and their trailers equipped with pneumatic brakes.

The purpose of the regulation is to amend the Finnish Transport Safety Agency's regulation on technical requirements for cars and their trailers (TRAFI/61749/03.04.03.00/2015), which entered into force on 28 August 2017, so that the provisions of § 25, subsection 2 and § 27 a, subsection 2, paragraphs 7 and 8 of the Vehicles Act (1090/2002), which will enter into force on 1 July 2018, are taken into account. At the same time, it is proposed that certain amendments be made to Annex 1 to the regulation.
