Draft Regulation 15AM/2017 M of the Finnish Communications Regulatory
Authority on the common frequencies of radio transmitters exempt from
licences and the use thereof

Draft Regulation 15AM/2017 M on individual groups of radio transmitters that are exempt from licences is related to the radio frequency utilisation plan (Draft Regulation 4U/2016 M of the Finnish Communications Regulatory Authority). It also defines the licence system for radio equipment, because a licence is required to use other radio transmitters pursuant to the Information Society Code. The Regulation applies to radio transmitters operating on the common frequencies laid down in the Annex thereto, and the conformity of which is ensured in the manner specified in the Information Society Code.

The purpose of updating Regulation 15 AL/2016 M, currently in force, is to exempt some new groups of radio equipment from the requirement to hold a licence. Regulation 15AM/2017 M, which is pending ratification, will be published on the Finnish Communications Regulatory Authority's website in due course.
