Waste Act

Producers (persons manufacturing or importing to Estonia) shall enter into a written contract with a producer responsibility organisation (PRO) to obtain services or join the PRO to organise the collection and recovery of waste tyres, mobile batteries and accumulators and WEEE from private households.

Specifications regarding the producer’s guarantee regulation. The types of guarantee offered by the producer and PRO, the guarantee amount, provisions for opening and drawing on the guarantee as well as standards for the termination thereof are laid down to ensure that the regulation can be easily understood.
