The order provides a technical interpretation of regulations for the use of plant protection products in greenhouses and in open cultivation.

Order No IENM/BSK-2017/… of the State Secretary for Infrastructure and the Environment of [date] amending the Environmental Management (Activities) Order with respect to the reduction of emissions from plant protection products in glasshouse horticulture and open cultivation

With effect from 1 January 2018, requirements will be imposed on the water discharged from a greenhouse and the methods used to apply plant protection products in open cultivation. The requirements aim to achieve a compulsory minimum reduction of emissions from plant protection products. This order provides a technical interpretation of this requirement. The technical interpretation consists of a benchmark and a protocol for calculating the reduction in emissions compared to the benchmark.
